Hello all,

I'm designing a single-FET resistive mixer, following Nonlinear Microwave and RF Circuits by Steve Maas. I don't have access to his Microwave Mixers book, and am using ADS for the simulation. My FET is a NE3210S01, LO 12 GHz, RF 13-14 GHz, IF 1-2 GHz.
I have a few points I'm hoping some of you might help me with-

Stage - optimizing LO and gate bias.
1. In ADS, how can I generate the 'ideal combiner' ?
2. What should I look for in this combined sweep of LO power and DC bias ? Is it only that the gate voltage should be not exceed ~0.1 V ?

Stage - ideal to real circuit
1. How can I design the diplexer ? Is there any online source where I can read about designing microstrip filters ?
2. Is it as simple as setting up the RF and IF filters independent of each other ? This seems misleading. Don't they 'see' each other ?

I do really hope some of ya'll can help me out :)
Thanks!
