Hello together,

In ADS I would like to have a current source that has a defined current and a defined voltage / voltage limit. Of course, it can also be the other way round, i.e. a voltage source that outputs a defined voltage and has a maximum current.
The background is that I would like to simulate a switching amplifier as a current amplifier, and therefore connect a current source to the drain.
According to the initial DCIV simulation, 3 amps can also flow at a drain voltage of 20 V.
However, if I use a current source with 3A, voltages of approx. 150V will result. That is more than the transistor can handle.
Therefore, I would like to have a voltage-limited current source which would be kind of similar to a laboratory power supply.

Any help and input is very welcome and appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
