I am using CADSTAR 13 and was wondering how do I add additional columns in the parts tab. Thanks for the help.

Step 1 = hit F1, read the help pages on attributes and setting them up.

Open the part library using the library editor, Settings\attribute names.

Use Add to create the name of the attribute.

Add them in the order that you want to see the columns.

Consider where you want to see and use the attribute and extract the information.

An attribute name MUST have the same usage in all libraries.

If to use in the part only and not to be visible in schematic or on PCB then make it "part definition". (also used for hyperlinks).
For use (and visible) in schematic only then usage = symbol.
Symbol and component makes it available in both design types - and the values can be edited.

You must enter a value in all attributes for at least 1 part or the attribute will be removed when you close the library.

Also have a look at https://cadstar.blogspot.co.uk/ for some info on library control using attributes.
