AD7730 and Crystal Freq.

Please Friends.

Does the Crystal Freq. (4.9152 MHz) is a critical factor for the AD7730, coz i'm getting no response from the IC and the only thing which could be the error is that I'm using (4MHz) crystal.
thanks in advance for the help.
 

the chip should work also at that frequency but it might happen that the performances are not the same like those specifed in datasheet for 4.9152MHz
