I need to control the speed of my hand drill machine. robert Bosh has some the includes this feature ready in the machine. It's good if the control kept constant tork.

The mains here in Brazil is 127Vac 60Hz.

This is usually accomplished with a triac and a phase shift triggering circuit. It is really the same circuit as a light dimmer switch. It just uses a bigger triac. Take a look at:

30 years ago, electronic controlled drill machines have been using similar dimmer circuits. Since that time, most products have features as said constant torque or constant speed. They always use applications specific ICs.
