AC analysis of SC circuits

As far as I know - there are two methods to transfer time-discrete elements (switched-capacitors) into time-continuous systems.
This allows simulation (ac analysis) using any of the available circuit analysis programs.
 

I wonder whether this wants something like state-space-
averaged models like are used in power supply analysis.
