I want to know about periodic tests of IC. First of all, I'm interested in a period of the test. How to estimate this value. How often should I test the IC with ASIL B (by hardware and software tests w/o external tools, only with chip powers)

Meaning a watch-dog timer value? That depends on how critical the failure is,

I mean I run BISTs (or some else tests) to check the hardware for faults. Is it enough to run tests once a year, twice a month or it's necessary to test chip every ms?

Is it enough to run BISTs after reset for ASIL B or maybe do some tests periodically? Is it for hardware or software tests
