Hello everyone,
I intend to setup a PMDC motor model in Matlab.
I am wondering which physics parameter MUST be measured in order to guarantee model precision.
I only has concept about terminal resistance and winding inductance. Is it enough? If not, what is else?
I am also troubled with winding inductance measurement. Does anyone have some good practice shared with me?
Thank you in advance!

Hello Bittware,
You must measure at least, the speed constant Kv.
Measuring the internal resistence is not as easy as it cuold apear, as brush contact resistence depends on the motor speed.
Regarding the torque constant, see my jun 30 2003 post.
Best regards
