In digital scopes, portion of the signal during the time before trigger event is
displayed. How do these scopes achieve this result?

Thank you?

They continually sample the data and store it - not just after a trigger. When there is a trigger they simply mark when the trigger occurred.

I thought that there will be two reasons:
1. Auto Mode would be opened,
2. Normal Mode, the signal reached trigger points.
Your idea will also be considered.
