Why FH systems usually use MFSK modulation? Is there any advantages?
sixth

i am not sure that we choose mod. technique according to hopping but however i think FH needs extra carriers to hop on , using M FSK inroduce least "minimum" band between carrier "for CP operration" , which provids large number of carriers.

In Frequency hopping

It uses large number of carriers to hop...

And used BFSK or MFSK

Total bandwidth=No.of hopping frequencies*M

This is beacause at each hopping frequency there can be M different frequencies for modulation...

Advantage: you get frequency diversity: if one frequency id heavily faded hopping to another one improves the perfromnace:

For example :

at slow mobility: pedestrians: GSM using Frequency hopping
