chirp signal

Does anyone can give me clear description about chirp?
or any paper, ...etc.

chirp signal detection

The chirp signal is a simple sinusoidal wave that changes its frequency regularly over time.
For more information and for the generation of chirp signal you can use MATLAB signal processing Toolbox and simply type
>> help chirp
CHIRP Swept-frequency cosine generator.
Y = CHIRP(T,F0,T1,F1) generates samples of a linear swept-frequency
signal at the time instances defined in array T. The instantaneous
frequency at time 0 is F0 Hertz. The instantaneous frequency F1
is achieved at time T1. By default, F0=0, T1=1, and F1=100.

Re: chirp signal?

you can refer the last chapter of openheim and schafer"discrete signal processing".it is there

Re: chirp signal?

A Curious Thing: U.S. Radar Operators called "Chirp" the charateristic signal who was eared in headphones, because it was very similar to the Birds voice.

chirp signal?

Hi,
the main use of chirp signal is for pulse compression in radars.
Regards.

Re: chirp signal?

Chirp Signal is also use in ESM system for frequency band Scanning and
Detection

Re: chirp signal?

u can find a complete discussion in MATLAB HELP.

chirp signal?

The chirp signal is one of the important signaling in radar for pulse compression. In LFM chirp, we have frequency modulation which the frequency of transmitted signal changes with time.
