Dear all ,
I am having a sign board having 8x8 dot matrix leds.
It is having total 16 such matrices arranged in two rows i.e. 8 dot -matrix leds in each row . it is showing a scrolling display . It has a Microcontroller ATmega 32 & shift Register IC 74HC595D. My query is that for a single character this board uses both rows mean to say that half of character goes into first row and half goes to second row . so how can I do this . Because it looks easy to fetch a character from flash memory and display it on one 8x8 matrix but how can I display half on one display & half on other.
