8051 MICROCONTROLLER with KEIL

hello everyone,

I am using keil software to create my hex files and then i use flash magic to download it to the microcontroller .
whether is it possible to download the program directly from keil without using flash magic.


microcontroller used: 8051(p89v51rd2)

No.... It is essential for downloading your hex files to microcontroller.. Otherwise, it is not possible to do ISP in your controller.

by using flash magic it will better i think bcoz rs-232 communication is required to communicate and transfer hex file from pc to controller.

okay suppose if i use an different IC(Microcontroller other than p89v51rd2) whether is it possible to download the program via keil alone.

Yes.. of course... But the IC should be present in the Keil's IC library list..
