hey friends ,i make making 8051 BASED FUCTION GENERATOR. if anyone has idea regarding software/programming then pl tell.
i want to generate 10khz,100 khz, 1 khz, etc.
i am using a increment and a decremnt push button for getting the frequencies between 10 to 100 khzand also for 1 to 10khz

homework?
you caught me on a good day ;-)
Use a timer, use the timer reload or overflow to create an interrupt. Use the interrupt to switch a portpin, better even if there is hardware support like a compare timer.
8051 based is highly inaccurate, there are at least hundreds probably more than 1000 variants on the market and the capabilities to create timing patterns are extremely different between the devices.
