8 port wavecom gprs modem not sending/receiving sms

Hi
we tried to send SMS using 8 port wavecom gprs modem by hyperthermal , the modem not sending/receiving sms, we come to know that it is IMEI Problem, that means the modem have invalid imei no, or we have to configure the modem to work please help us in this issue,
Technical details wavecom gprs modem , module 2403A.
