74LS VS 54S series chips replacement

Hello,
Is that ok if I replace the 74LSxxx ICs in a logic circuit with 54LSxxx or 54Sxxx ?
consuming current is not of a problem.

I think the 54S are the military direct pin compatible equivalents?
 

As long as the 'LS' and 'S' are the same you should not have any problem. I think 54 series devices are selected 74 series ones that pass extra tests. They are often in ceramic packages rather than plastic but for most applications they are equivalents.
