74HC299 and Asim Khan's 89C51 programmer.Help reqd:

I am constructing Asim Khan's programer.But the 74HC299 is not locally available.is there any substitute? or any sourse for the above chip? Please help.
Can anybody suggest a sourse for this chip please.Everything else is complete.please help!

Anybody can help me to locate a DIP version of this chip in INDIA?

Or any pin compatable equivalent.
the finished prototype with all other components is kept idle .Please help!

i too faced same kind of problem....i'm too from India. I used 74HC'T'299 (which is easily available). BTW from which part of India are you from (sorry if i'm getting too personal), actually i'm having this chip extra, i can give it to you without any charges...I'm from north India (haryana)
