7 segment multiplexing using 4017 and PIC

Hi,

Can someone please explain whether intensity of display can go down if 10 nos of 7-seg display are used with muliplexing method ?
I have a requirement to use 10 digits for a circuit.

Definitely there will be a dip in intensity. Since you are using 10 digits. Try to switch on a digit for longer time. This will make the display brighter.
 

Can I use 2ms X 10 ? Hope this time period is sufficient .

Am not sure of Timing required...Am sure google will help you out... I tried trial and error method.
