hello friends,
i am looking for circuit of 60v to 12v converter. i saw circuit using lm 2576hv,max 5035 ....... but these are high cost devices. somebody suggest me a simple,low cost circuit for this purpose.my requirement is 1a only. thanks in advance

How much is the current that you need?
If your current is low, you can use lm7812 as well as.

Maximum rated input voltage is 35V for a LM7812

Hi
Prototyp_V1.0 is right.
But for this application you can use a simple linear regulator ( with op amp and emitter flower ) and a simple feed back , if your current is not high.
