I am working with a flyback transformer i using the mains 230V supply to power it using a series resistor. I converted 230V ac to dc and a 10uf filter capacitor. My input dc voltage is 306V then i place a 100K/1w resistor in series with 555 but i dont get any frequency. help me

Wait, you're connecting 306 Volts to a poor little 555? I've got one word for you: KA-POW!!!!!

Even with a 100K resistor I don't think this is a good idea.

LM555 power supply must consider both minimum (about 1 mA) and maximum (6 mA at 5V) supply current. It must have a zener voltage regulation.
