Hello everybody!
A collegue of mine asked me the favour to find a suitable amplifier for some experiment he would like to perfom with his class.
I have a -100dbm signal at 5 MHz and I need it to amplify it to some mV level in order to be displayed on an oscilloscope. The signal bandwidth should be approx. 500 kHz, no more.
I can find a lot of out-of-the-shelf amplifiers for higher frequencies but nothing for this range. Any suggestion?
I also thought of putting some band-pass filtering after the amplifier to improve the SNR. Any suggestion on where to find such filter or should I just have to make one myself?
Thank you!
Gian
