Hi,

if you don´t find a ready to by controller, then you could do build one with a microcontroller or a PLD.

4 rows x 5 columns. 16 keys (and 16 diodes if you need to detec multiple pressed keys).

Bettter use ADC keypad. It needs only one ADC pin connnection.

yes, i know it is 16 channel. But i´m sure you can add a fifth row or column. That´s not difficult.

if you look for a keypad driver IC, then you hardly will find one exactely for 20 keys.
