can anyone tell me what is the output of the pll ic cd4046 from VCO- is it sin wave or a square wave?

It isn't a circuit you need, it's the data sheet. The formula is there.

The datasheet for the CD4046 shows how to use it and how to calculate the parts for it. Some manufacturer's datasheets even show the rectangular output from the VCO. The Intersil datasheet is the clearest and the one from Texas Instruments has the most details but it is VERY fuzzy.

I want to use 4046 PLL IC for a circuit to have VCO output 10kHz from sine 50Hz input shown in the image(**broken link removed** Vdd suppy viltage 12v and divider IC 74LS390 with division of 200. Which values to be taken for R1,R2 and C1 for vco and RC filter component
