3V to 5V dc-dc step up converter

dc/dc 555 stepup converters circuits

is 6V going to be okay. if that is so just use a voltage doubler. its not such a complicated circuit.
 

3v 5v converter

about the voltage doubler... the waveform it output is positive sine wave rite... but i need square pulses... that's what my teacher told me...
