Hello guys,
I am building a circuit that converts from +30V DC source to +12 and -12 V outputs using the 7912 and 7812 ICs (I used the circuit in the 7912 and 7812 datasheets). The problem is that when i tested the circuit the -12V worked properly but the +12V terminal gives a much lower voltage (~7V). I tried adding equal parallel resistors across the 2 capacitors and the I managed to get 9V. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening and what i can do to get the +-12V I need?
Thanks

Can you post a schematic? I think you are using capacitive divider or something alike.

hi falcon
you don't mansion the out put currant 12v which amper
any way my experience of dc dc converter the best is lm 2576
that one work on 7v dc to 60v dc and also avelbel fixd volt and adjustable
i think yourrequirement 12v maximum 2amp and this ic give 3amper perfect
