I am considering a microcontroller operating at 3.3V to control a number of I2C LCDs.

LCDs are normally supplied from 5V.

Is it possible to utilize the I2C bus in this case?

If I used a normal parallel port I would just put pull ups to 5V on every line in the bus.
How about I2C?
