Dear members,
i have 2 hub motors off 36v and 400 watt each.
should i use 2 controllers to control both motors or a single controller can be use to control both hub motors.
and what will be the case if i use noormal bldc motor instead of hub motor
Hi, I would suggest 2 controllers as single controllers can be give a poor and jumpy ride. As for the motors definitely go with hubs, yes they are heavier and probably not as efficient but with something like a self balancing scooter any gains with weight and efficiency savings will not out-weigh the loss of space and practicality.

first of all HUB motors are BLDC motors !!! what are you thinking ?
second it doesnot matter what type of controller you use , either 1 controller with dual channels ( can control 2 motors with different speed) , or 2- controllers each of them is single channel.
if YOU use 1 signle channel controller and connect both motors to it (parallel to each other) , the project will not work , becauuse the motors will move together at all time , so you can not turn left or right !!!!
