Anybody got a schematic for a 2.4GHz video transmitter / reciever. I need to transmit over a range of about a mile !!

Basicly most rigs at the 6cm band (2.4ghz) are based on the maxim chip, however there is a lot of stuff for the 13cm (1.2ghz) band using discrete devices.
As I don't know the your exact requirements, I will point you to a few links I have in hand, in general.

If you make a search with the keywords "ATV + PLL", you should come up with quite a few radio amatuer site links with good designs and acompanying PLL control software.
