I want to run a DC motor using PIC16F877A and for increasing the current level,I will be using L293 IC.
I have got the code ready...the problem is in arranging the 12V power supply for the IC.Apart from the
12V battery, what are some other ways through which I can provide a 12V DC supply for the IC..?

any clean, stable 12VDC power supply should work, provided it can supply enough current

i assume you are using a different power supply for the motor
