Can anyone help me with a simple circuit to provide me with this, its a basic project but i need one to give me atleast 250-300watts. or about 2-3 amps output, want to use a 12volt battery bank or a 12volt dc power supply to use as the supply for it.
Note 12vdc-120volt ac @ 60Hz.
parts number would be greatly appreciated or any info on this, i tried searching for circuits for it but kept getting 12volt to 220 volt at high output wattages( can i substitute the transformer from the 12volt to 110-120 ?) i am basically new to this novice at most.
i want to simulate it on multisim 11 also but the transistors they have there doesn't seem to work there is there something that can be used inplace of the 2N3055 NPN Transistor.

I can take inductors and capacitors of any value. I only want to generate oscillations.
Yes, you could create an oscillator with a single transistor. But in the design I referenced, the oscillator is a standard push - pull design. The frequency is determined by the inductor and capacitors used. The webste Basics, Introduction, Calculation, Theory,PCB DIY Kit RF Push-Pull MOSFET Oscillator with high output power shows an oscillator for r.f. signals, but the circuit design is the same as for the inverter (60 hz) except he uses mosfets.
The circuit can be use for the RF function and requires much knowledge to design it. But I want the basic knowledge to design a simple oscillator(specially using one transistor).
You know that, after knowing particular values of inductors and capacitors and by properly arranging them with the feedback mechanism, we can generate oscillations with one transistor. I think that clarifies the basics of oscillators and of course the circuit can effectively reduced in size.

Yes first install ltspice its great for cheaking out circuits and changing values seeing the actual output on scope like screen.

For 250-300W, you should be looking to use MOSFETs instead of BJTs. You'll get a lot more efficiency, and so you'll get much better battery backup.

Basically i was looking for the overload protection in the inverter and one that will give me a 60z sine wave most of the circuits i got doesnt help much, i dont need much power output from it though its for a small project to effectively run power a 100-200w load, can you help with a circuit that i can simulate on multisim on an inverter using the mosfet design? please....ty!
Thanks to all. RC-Oscillator is the best in one transistor oscillator. Also Pravesh, you can use the RC oscillator to reduce size of your inverter. Is it?
