100:1 Current sense transformer wound on a E13/7/4 core

Hi,
The attached shows the single turn primary in 100:1 Current sense transformer wound on a Ferroxcube E13/7/4 former.

One shows the primary coil in the centre or to the side.
The other shows the single turn primary crossed over, or not crossed over, before terminating to the pins.

Do you know which is best?....ie which gives best pri-sec coupling?

Central is very slightly better

crossed or uncrossed makes little difference, crossed very slightly better as long as there is no chance of a chafing short ckt

Depending on the size of the pri current, 150:1 or 200:1 is often better ... ( say above 10A pk in the pri )
