1-20MHz crystal oscillator

For simulating crystal oscillator you need first model for the Crystal itself. Model you can find from Fox papers mentioned on previous post. Most difficult part is how to define the component values for crystal... It is easy if you have access to Network analyzer, like HP8752A which I have been using.

1. Sweep the crystal S11 and take the results to ADS or ADS type simulator.
2. Now draw crystal S11 to Smith chart.
3. build Crystal model on schematic
4. Start optimizer and fit the curve of model to S11 of cystal on smith chart
5. When curves match each others you have found the componentvalues for model and you are ready to use it at your oscillator simulations

Try to use component models which are as exact as possible. Like performance of coils are important to know already in simulations.

try ha7210....check the datasheet
