Feb. 25th, 2014, Embest Technology (a Premier Farnell company) launched SAMA5D3 Xplained evaluation kit.
SAMA5D3 Xplained is a low-cost fast prototyping and evaluation platform built on Atmel’s SAMA5D3 ARM Cortex-A5 microprocessor. It comes with external memory and a rich set of interfaces such as 256MB DDR2, 256MB flash, 2 Ethernet physical-layer transceivers, 2 SD/MMC interfaces, 2 USB Host and 1 USB Device, 1 24-bit RGB LCD and 1 debugging interfaces. Furthermore, SAMA5D3 Xplained has 8 headers that are compatible with Arduino R3 and could be used to connection different Arduino Shield. The evaluation kit is widely suited for many applications including industrial automation, networks, robotics, control panels and wearable devices.
