Hi friends
I want to design Patch antenna array( about 60 Patches in row) & MMIC.
Which software should I use??
will ADS2006 be useful for both of this applications???
Suggest me softwares
Thanks

Re: Need Suggestions

BUT I also need to simulate(&design) MMIC???
HFSS is only for passive & not active.
Can I get both facilities in single software??
I agree with RAM but processor confiuration?
I need to simulate 120 patch elements connected to feed line at same time.

Need Suggestions

sure ADS can do it , but u need alot of memory
ads can be used to simulation both active and passive devices as well

khouy

Re: Need Suggestions

You could use CST MWS to simulate the patch; they can also use periodic boundary conditions to simulate a single patch in an infinite array approximation.

CST has a direct interface to ADS so you can have CST objects in your ADS schematic. Then you can simulate both together.

I am not aware that any other full 3D software tools have links to ADS. I think Sonnet has a link to ADS, but Sonnet is a planar EM tool.
