What is the maximum wire length form Router to PC?

router maximum pcs

Hi,

I want to build a network between 7-PCs, connect them via 8-port switch, the switch will then be connected to a DSL router.
The problem is that these PCs are about 200~250m apart, will this casue any problems to DSL connection or it can work?? I don't care a lot to sharing speed, what i want to stress on is will all PCs be connected to internet (DSL) with full speed of router or not? (DSL speed is 2Mbps)
I don't have experience in that in fact..
Can anyone help me please?

Notice that these PCs will be connected to the switch via UTP wire cables..
I found this site, but don't totally understood what does they mean...

normally after about 100 meter the speed decline sharply
 
maxium cable length of the wired router

utp cable (cat5e and cat 6) is limited to 100 meters. If you have to go that far I would suggest a wireless system, or fiber. But fpr the money wireless is probably your best bet. New routers with mimo technolagy can handle that distance.

now there is some available cables which support up to 300 metre

you also can increase this distance by using a switch or even a repeater each 100 meter

this repeats"amplify" the signal
