Hi guys,

What kind of hardware/software I need to program these devices ? I can get them cheaply at local shop, and they will most probably suit all my hobbyists needs.. However, I have no clue how to program them.

for XC4000 check out www.xess.com XS40 board!
To program the devices you need xilinx foundation 4.02i or so.

Is there any way that something can be home-built, for example for in-circuit programming of these ??

I'm somehow on tight budget, so I'm open to any suggestion :)
