Counting optical incremental encoder pulses in VHDL

incremental encoder vhdl

Hi people, im triyng to implement in vhdl, using altera 3064 3-axis pulse counting, using optical incremental encoder, which axis contains channel A, channel B. Channel Z is used for zero-pulse. totalizing 9 channels. Anyone know some link, some paper ou some exemple in how to do this?
