hi all,

i'm choosing a POWER SUPPLY equipment for test and measurement on ANALOG CHIP. please give me some advise on the SPEC, thx in advance.

1) what is the MAX "ripple & noise" acceptable for analog chip ? 5mV rms & 3mA rms ? 10mV ptp ? or ?

2) line regulation constant voltage & current ? 0.01% 3mV & 0.2% 2mA ? or ?

3) load regulatin constant voltage & current ? 0.01% 3mV & 0.2% 2mA ? or ?

thank u so much.

1) The MAX "ripple & noise" refers at the maximum ripple or AC fluctuationsof the power supply. noise is the noise that produce it, usually por SMPS, but both are rms and the ptp is pick to pick or maximum voltage 10mV.

2) it refers to the variations of output voltage due the variations of line voltage. and usually refers a variations from 10% of the full current to the 90% of the full current

3) load regulation is variation of voltage (or current) by variations in the load
0.01%= [Vo (10% load) - Vo (full load)]/ Vo(10% load)
full load refers to maximum current

Line regulation = [Vo maximum - Vo (minimum)]/Vo (at nominal line voltage)
