having problem with 89c51rd2bn

hey folks,

i have a board mounted with 89C51RD2BN .
i connected it to my pc via serial port (COM1).
The problem is in downloading my program's hex file in microcontroller.
I use Flash Magic v 2.48 ,
The problem is flash magic is unable to detect the µc.
when i start the job of downloading hex file it puts the error :-

Code: 
    Unable to connect at the specified baud rate. Try reducing the baud rate.
    Reset  the hardware into ISP mode again.

... reducing the baud rate doesn't work .
i could not figured out what is the problem.
this is my first real world program.

and need --- help
 

hai
check the following things
did you set the baud rate,crystal freq,microcontroller,comport?
did you connected to vpp
did you reseted the microcontroller before down loading?
is your com port,cable,max 232 on the microcontroller board and commection up to rx & tx of microcontroller is ok?power and ground of microcontroller is ok?
still the problem persists,replace the microcontroller
