Why SAR kind ADC are much better than Sigma Delta ADC?

Sigma Delta ADC

In theb same context i found that switched capacitor filters are efficient at high sampling rates .Can anybody explain the operation of switched capacitor filters in the ADC context .Please also specify why SAR kind ADC are much better than Sigma Delta ADC

You can learn from 1st-order sc filer,then 2nd_order.
