I am looking for a complete DIY project for FC (upto 1GHz) using subject chip. Can anybody help?

icm7216 150mhz

Are there any other chips out there that do what the ICM7216 does? It's virtually impossible to find them for sale at most normal oulets.

It's a shame Intersil (and others) stop making chips like this, but I guess it wasn't good for their bottom line (low volume, etc) plus now everything is mcu-based...

Hi, this is another frequency counter project, it is based on an AVR microcontroller, you can find in the link all the details and the sourcecode for microcontroller to assemble this project.

ICM7216 is ancient...Microcontroller is here to stay...so stay tune...
You dont count to MHz range anymore.. go to GHz instead!
