Hi everyone

I found a .lib file for a diode I want to use in my simulation, but I have no idea how to import it! Could anyone offer any suggestions? Or point me towards alternative approaches?

Here is the contents of the .lib file I found if it matters:

Enter the model parameters directly in a Nonlinear .MODEL block .You can also try "Importing Design" technique but it's a bit complicated.( it doens't make sense for a diode)

Thanks, I really appreciate your help BigBoss!

The diode I am trying to use is a variable capacitance diode/"varactor". I am a bit lost on the nonlinear model blocks on where to start. I have included a printscreen of all of my attempts. I thought that the DIODEM model would be most likely to work, however, I don't have the complete set of parameters and the simulation is not running....

In my second approach, I have found the spice .lib file for the diode I am trying to model, and I have used the diodeM please could you direct me on what to read to use this? No matter where I look online there are no resources on this!

Thank you,
Em

All you have to do is to place a diode and its model block as shown here.

Then fill the SPICE parameters which are available.( leave default values for the rest )
