Matlab DSP Blockset ADC connections

I am new to using Microchip DSP blockset in matlab. I was trying to use ADC module. This module has only output ports and there is no provision stimulus from simulink to this module. Perhaps it directly reads from hardware. Any method to read analog data without hardware?
