Dear all

I am trying to excite the dominant mode "TE 11" as it have the best radiation pattern. the position for the coax-cable is supposed to touch the patch at the center of patch to have the best current and magnetic field distribution. the problem is when the feeder positioned at this place the only mode i get is the "TM 01", but when change the position other modes are appeared " the dominant is among these modes". is there any connection that could help to excite the dominant mode with the feeder touch the center?

Feeding in the center of a patch is almost always the wrong location. Spend some time with one of the many books in the technical literature to get some ideas.
