Dear all,
I haven't used PLDs for about 10 years; I need to implement a logic circuit with four inputs, three outputs and a straightforward boolean expression in the middle (let's say a combination of XOR, AND, inverters, etc.). My requirements are:
• Not discrete gates to be used
• Descriptive hardware-programmable logic based (i.e. not microcontroller).
• Operation voltage preferably to be 9V (to avoid additional LDOs, etc.)
• In-circuit programming is preferable (but not compulsory).
The questions are:
Are the SPLDs that I used to use (e.g. :16V8) still relevant nowadays?
Is there anything more recommendable?
How can I program it via JTAG? Can you show me a circuit diagram?
Can you please recommend the software to program, compile, simulate, debug, etc.?
Can SPLDs or CPLDs deal with time conditions?
Thank you very much!!
