good day

im was asked to create a simple clamp meter that can measure current of ac or dc up to 10amps have no clue were to start..and from a research iv done i only found block diagram of how it works but there are no circuits that can help on what the block diagrams show:-(

Look at Hall-effect sensors. There should be plenty of information on the web.

Hi,

Simple.
Maybe cheap, too?

I recommend to buy one.

Or where do you see a benefit in designing your own? You seem not to be very experienced with current measurement.

if the measurement current is ac, you can choose a transformer sensor.if you want to measure dc current, hall sensor i think, and this way always with a power supply.
