Hi,

I connected 8 small fans (input voltage 12V and needed current is 1.8A) and two big fans (input voltage 12V and needed current is 2.4A) to 12V Power supply.

when I don't limit the power supply current I get shortage. why I need to limit the current in this case?

What wattage is your power supply rated for.
Is the amp draw on fans all total or per fan.

When you say limit power supply current do you mean attach less fans or something other.

Hi,

Does it happen when you turn the fans on, and do you turn them all on at the same time? If so, maybe you could include some kind of soft start circuitry, if there isn't already.
