Hello all,

My question is related to an older post (https://www.edaboard.com/showthread.php?t=169422).

The post says: "Red is because Vemf_peak is open circuit voltage" where it refers to the first occurence of the number "2" in the formula:

Code:
power_Watt=(Vemf_peak/(2*sqrt(2)))^2/real(Zref)

Can someone explain me this? Does someone make the asumption the generator has an internal impedance of 50 Ohm and the load is also 50 Ohm, hence the voltages is divided by two?
