Hi Guys,

I am trying to analyze noise contributions (performing a S-Parameter analysis) from different components of a circuit (2-port) by enabling/disabling the noise of certain components and plotting nf(2).

Now I try to see the impact of the noise coming from the source resistor, which in my case is port 1 (50 ohm), at the output. Unfortunetaley the nf(2) is zero despite setting noise = yes at the port.

What I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advanced.

I think I solved it. It was my mistake in forgetting the definition of noise figure = total noise contribution/ noise contribution of source . So if I have no other noise added the source contribution cancels out. Sorry for bothering you guys.
