Question about vfd voltage rating

Is there any problem with running a 240 volt motor on a vfd rated for 480 volts.
 

VFD rating isn't the point, question is what's the actual input voltage the VFD is running from.

Generally, you need to set the VFD motor parameters accordingly. The motor insulation must be sufficient for the higher peak voltage, shouldn't be a problem with usual industrial motors. Motors can be often wired for higher (wye circuit) or lower (delta circuit) input voltage. It should surely use wye circuit if available.

I only have access to 240 vac single phase. I was thinking maybe rectify it and feed to DC bus terminals.
